#5: Bomberman II

This is the second series of bomberman and basically it doesn't differ much from bomberman 1. However a story is added to the game although it is horribly short:

The black bomberman robbed a bank and leave the bag of money to the white bomberman. He then ran away, left the white bomberman confused on the scene. Police arrived shortly and caught the white bomberman. So the game starts by having white bomberman trying to escape the prison... Hmmmm...

A big improvement to the game is that some of the maps are not as large as in the previous bomberman game (see above pic). Besides, more map backgrounds are introduced to the game, which of course make the game less dull:

(Forest)

(Mountain)

(Lake?)

(Cave)

(Escaped from jail?)

There is no boss in the game, which is similar to that of the previous game, monsters are basically the same through out the game so the only difference is the background. After beating this you would see an ending scene that shows the black bomberman kneel and apologise to white bomberman. Yea that's the end, better than no ending right?

and from the credit screen comes this secret password that you can enter for the "sound test", nothing particular though.

There is multiplayer mode too but I don't think it is really that nice as you are only fighting your friends and computer with only 3 items in the map: bomb, flame and skull.

The game is worth for trying for a while just for the fun of it but it gets boring after a while, the ending is nothing special so I think it is not really worth it to try to get to the ending unless you are a game freak like me.
